TEST 123. GO GO gadget artist statement: I am more interested in the life of the fieldworker than that of an armor-clad hero. Highlighting the hopes and taboos of the layperson through my work, I strive to go against the comfort that suffocates the powerless. Influenced by 20th century American literature, coming of age stories, and foreign films and art, an ultracontemporary application of magical realism best describes what I do best. The inspirations closest to my heart, however, are nestled in my fading, diasporic Mexican community in the rural Midwest.My artwork is characterized by a slight neuroticism, wrapped in hope for the world to come.
